A Distributor must personally or foster sponsor three or more Distributor Groups, each of which qualifies at the Maximum Performance Bonus Level in at least six months during the performance year. The Distributor must be a qualified Platinum Distributor.

Amway will set aside an amount equal to 0.25% of the total BV of all qualified downlines from all Emerald Bonus recipients, including their Personally, Internationally and Foster Sponsored 21% Groups, as the Emerald Bonus Fund.
The volume of the Upline of the Foster Sponsored 21% Group, like the Personally Sponsored 21% Group, will be included in the calculation of the Emerald Bonus Fund. The BV of all qualified Emerald Bonus recipients' Internationally Sponsored Groups that attain the maximum Performance Bonus Level is also included in the calculation. However, only the volume of the First Internationally Sponsored 21% Group will be included.
At the end of each performance year (August 31), the Emerald Bonus Fund is distributed among all qualified Emerald Direct Distributors who qualify in the following manner: The annual qualified BV of each of the Emerald Direct Distributor's Group, including the BV on which the Emerald Direct Distributor has earned the 6% Leadership Bonus, is added together. A Point Value of 4 points is assigned for each $1,000 BV per group for the first $125,000 BV; 2 points are assigned for each $1,000 BV per group for the next $275,000 BV; 1 point is assigned for each $1,000 BV per group for the next $250,000 BV; and 1 point is assigned for each $10,000 BV per group thereafter. This computation is made for each group.
Divide the Emerald Bonus Fund by the total volume of all qualified Emerald Bonus recipients will give a dollar value per point. Multiply this with the volume of a qualified Emerald Bonus recipient will be his bonus amount.
Emerald Bonus for the performance year ending August 31 is issued after assessment. The volume of an Internationally Sponsored Group that attains the maximum Performance Bonus Level will be calculated for Emerald Bonus twice: one for the Foster Sponsor and the other for the International Sponsor.
